Coastal Productive Garden

Design

The client had a clear and cohesive list of priorities for their ideal garden space but needed assistance with the design and implementation. No lawns to mow, productive raised garden beds, and access via both steps and ramp, were the top priorities. We supplied initial 3D concept drawings and after a second consultation and a few minor design changes the final concept was approved.

Works

The initial works required a lot of demolition, tree/vegetation removal and weed spraying. After discussions with the client about poor existing soil conditions our goal for the initial onsite works were to excavate all finished soil heights 50-100mm lower in profile to allow the addition of importing a special topsoil and compost mix to revitalise the soil conditions.

Finished Product

Once the major earthworks and tree removal components were finished the priorities for the final works were aimed at fine details and making the landscape flow with the site conditions and overall design scheme as much as possible.
